Playdate With Our Friends

Yesterday, my friend Angel and I took our kids to the aquarium and the biotical gardens. Angel has to beautiful girl, Jovie and Joslynn. Noah's closest friend here is Jovie, she is two months younger than he is. I enjoyed hold Joslynn, she is four months old. Jacob was so sweet with the little kids and a great helper to me and Angel. When we got home and were unloading, I quickly took a picture of Noah holding Joslynn's hand. We had a wonderful time with our friends.

Paying with Condiments

Everyone has hear the phase "pay with a compliment". At our dinner table lately we have been "paying Noah with condiments". Taking to get Noah to eat his dinner, especially if he doesn't like what we are having has been a challenge. Noah is a good eater most of the time, but sometimes getting him just to sit long enough has be the real challenge, let alone eating. So seen he loves to play with little bags of condiments, two nights this week I have given he one for every bit he took. Hey, whatever works right? Tim thought this whole process what so funny, so he took a picture, I thought it was funny after I got him to eat his dinner.

Prize Winning Tomato Plant

Growing up, my parents had big, health, beautiful tomato plants in their garden. I love to eat the fresh tomatoes like apple, whole. Yummy! I still love fresh, garden tomatoes and hope we get some with our five tomato plants that we planted in our garden this year. One of our plants in our garden looks like one from my parents garden, it has been fun and exciting watching it grow. It is covered with huge green tomatoes. Can't wait until they are ripe for the picking :) The other pictures are of Jacob's pea plants that he planted and green beans. Green beans and picking them is a completely different childhood memory.

Couldn't Find Noah!

Any mom, I think like a little peace and quite during a normal, busy day with young children. But too much quite is usually not a good thing, with the two advertious boys that we have, unless they are sound asleep. Just now I couldn't find Noah, nor hear or seen him in about three minutes. I raced thru the house in a panic! This picture explains why I am now blogging this experience and not still hunting, crying or calling for help! (Jacob wasn't alseep, but he made the picture even better).
The second picture is of Noah: "I am a knight!" he exclaims at the top of his lungs almost day. I have a pretty lucky lady, I have three knight to protect me!

"I Just LOVE Grandma!"

Noah lately has been talking in full sentences. He favorite to say is, "I DO IT!" I was explaining to him one morning that he looks like his Grandpa Wheelwright. Noah is named after his Grandpa Wheelwright, Bruce. I explained that he had a dimple, dark black hair and eyebrow like Grandpa. Than he looked at me, with such a sweet expression, "Grandma?" (meaning do I look like Grandma Wheelwright?) I said, oh, yes, you have Grandma's big, beautiful, brown eyes. Then he exclaimed with glee, "I just LOVE Grandma!"

Morning at the Temple

This past month, we had a Temple day for our Primary children. It went over well, with a good turn out, especially since it rained the whole time. I love my calling, being able to serve and be around children in our ward. I believe it is the best place to be in the Church. Jacob enjoyed being with his friend too.
The last picture is of a rose in our front lawn.

Summer Heat is Here! 90 and raising!

Summer and its heat finally made it here in time for July. June was pretty wet with early monsoon weather. But nothing beats the heat like playing in the water. Monday, Jacob had his friend, Justice over to run in the sprinkler. It was hot enough to play in the water at ten a.m. Today we went to the water park at our community center, right by where we live. We meet some of our friends and neighbors there. Jacob has a absolute blast, playing for two full hours in the water. Noah would not go near the water. He was so scared. Last year Jacob was scared and Noah went for it. Next year, they both may play together in the water :). Tomorrow we are going swimming as a family at one of our many local pools.
Reasons why I like living here: #1. Some many fun and excited place to see and visit with children and many fun activites to do. #2. The weather and climate.
FYI: We do have green grass in our backyard during the summer, thanks to Tim's TLC with our lawn. He does a great job with growing grass in the driest climate we have ever known.
