I'm TWO!

This past week-end we celebrated Noah's birthday, he turned two! Jacob took Noah aside and gave Noah "blowing" lessons with a cake Jacob made from his Legos. Jacob is the best big brother and is Noah's hero. Jacob could not wait until Noah opened his presents. Noah wanted a chocolate cake with "moon and stars" on it. After the cake was partly decorated, I asked him what the big blue circle was on his cake. Noah said happily, "Bubble!" After the stars were in place, I asked him again, in which he stated, "Moon and stars!" That goes to show that moon and stars go together.
We are so blessed to have our boys in our lives. We love seeing and watching them grow and learn. We realize and try to cherish every moment as we know they will be grown someday. But for now we enjoy them while they are still with us.
Last picture is of the tired birthday boy and his mommy, enjoying her baby.
P.S. The toy puppy Noah received from Will, Jana, Riley, Ariana and Lexie, he named Jacob.

First Snow

Woke up to snow this morning, Jacob had a great idea on how to use the snow.

"Thru Children's Eyes"- Our Christmas Letter.

Greetings to our family and friends!
Happy Holidays to you! We hope all of our family and friends have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We hope this letter find you doing well.
This year for the Webb family we have been richly blessed. We do realize the source of these blessings and know they are from our loving Heavenly Father. We rejoice in the knowledge of His Son and his life. This Christmas, we are happy once again, to celebrate His birth and His great sacrifice, which is greatest gift, given to Mankind. Jesus Christ is the reason for the Christmas Season.
So the beginning of the month, we passed the year mark, living here. We have learned much about the cultural changes around us. We have much more to learn. We do know we like the weather here, with milder winter and a bit warmer summers. We love the monson seasons which comes the months of July thru September. Playing in the parks in Feburary has made the winters pass by so quickly and been an added treat to us.
We have enjoyed all the fun and experiences a big city bring with it, but especially seeing it "thru our children's eyes" as Grandpa says often. Last Christmas, Grandpa and Grandma Wheelwright visited us and our new home (we moved in on Noah's first birthday). We went to the Children's Museum here, which was fantasic! Thanks Grandpa and Grandma, it was a fun and unforgettable day with our family. The zoo here is our favorite place to visit, along with the aquarium and the botanical gardens. The boys and I took a plane ride up to Utah/Idaho this past August to visit family and friends there. Noah still asks to go on plane rides when he sees an airplane in the sky. In October, we went to the National Balloon Fiesta and watch 600plus hot air balloons lift off, it was incredible!
Tim is doing well with the start of his career and he has a great job! We enjoy having him home every other week-end for three days :) Jacob and Noah are his shadows when he is home, they play alot and have much in common.
Jacob had his fifth birthday and we spent a day in the zoo, which he wanted. He started pre-school a day after his birthday. He love school and has made a bunch of new friends. He goes three days a week for three and half hours at a time. He is excited to start Kidergarden next year. He loves to pretend and dress up as a soldier, superman, pirate and ninja, to name a few. He like to turn our house into caves, ships, battle grounds and spaceships. Legos are still his favorite toy to "build things." Lately, he has learned to write his name really well. He has been memorizing books and scriptures too. I really appreciated Jacob's help with our first garden this year, mostly with watering the plants and more. Jacob was a knight in shining armor for Halloween.
Noah, what to say about him? He is busy, climbing and running now. He points out each airplane he hears it, sees it or both (which are many, we live close to the airport and Navy Base). The moon is his buddy and he trys to find it day or night. Noah enjoys going outside, helping with the garden and going down slides at the park. For his birthday cake this year, he has asked for "moon" and star cake. Noah is talking now, he can repeat any word, but favorite word is still "bobble" or bottle. He loves Jacob, playing with him and everything that Jacob does. Noah loves to joke, saying that his name is "Jacob". Noah sings daily, his favorite songs included: "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, I am a child of God, and Wheels on the bus." Noah's favorite rhyme is "Sing a song of six pence." Jacob and Noah play really good together now and it is sweet to see. Noah was "Linus" from Charlie Brown from Halloween.
As for me, I love being a full-time homemaker. I enjoy being the master of my own time and planning fun family activities, that we do on the week-ends. Tim and I have both have callings is our ward which we enjoy and keep us busy. In my free time, I have learned to blog, which is our family's scrapbook. I also love croqueting afagans for all my family and friends who are having babies.
This next year we are looking forward to our sister's wedding and other nephew coming to our family.
I must run now, first snow of the season came this morning. We must go play now for the snow will be melted tomorrow. Happy Holidays to you! May God bless and protect you always! We love you all! Tim, Wendy, Jacob and Noah (burritos)

Jacob's Thanksgiving Dinner

"My turkey will weigh 645 pounds. I will cook it for as long as the turkey goes. I will stuff it with gravy but that would be yucky so I will stuff it with whatever my mom does. I will serve rice and milk with my turkey. I will invite Joshua to eat with me. I am thankful for my family and my house and that is it." By Jacob Webb
Happy Birthday Carey!

Halloween Spirit

Tim had a three day weekend this past weekend. It was great having him home all day on Halloween, of course, we love having him home anytime, we LOVE our daddy!
With keep with the Halloween spirit, we carved our pumpkin Saturday afternoon. It was the first time Tim and I can remember craving pumpkins outside. But why not, after all it was 66 degree and sunny. No mess in the kitchen, YAHOO! Jacob was so creative with the face he made and craved on his pumpkin. He was great with cleaning out the pumpkins too. So these pictures show the finished projects of our labors. Sunday night after FHE we lit the pumpkins in the dark and listened to Jacob tell a very, scary, story. Boo!
Three pumpkin: "The face" (Jacob's), "Batman" Logo (Tim's) and Moon and Stars (Wendy's and Noah's favorite).
Saturday afternoon after coming home from a church meeting I found my three "dudes" outside in the backyard blowing bubbles. Love those doo rags!

Happy Halloween!

This year for Halloween Jacob decided one being a knight in shining armor and Noah was Linus from "Charlie Brown. Jacob said, "I have the most fun ever" and indeed he did. He had a Halloween party at preschool, complete with trick or treating to all the high school student classrooms, since his preschool is located at one of our local high school. After they got back to their preschool they had a cake walk and bobbed for apples. Jacob's brave teachers took the 24 preschoolers around the high school, brave, I think yes! Jacob came home with a ton of treats and prizes. Next he was off to his friend's birthday party which was more fun. At seven we took our boys trick or treating around our neighborhood, which was so fun. Tons of people showed up to our neighbor's "Free" Haunted House that they put on each and every year. We got about two hundred trick or treaters to our doorstep this year. Tim went down to see it on Saturday night, it was well done he said. He went for all our family, as I and Jacob do not like anything scary (hope our neighbors understand). Tim did most of handing out the candy, because he wanted to see the costums, he just had to stay at the doorstep the whole time. As a side note: this was the warmest Halloween Tim and I ever remember, sixty degrees, sunny and no coats, gloves, sweats or boots, rain, snow, wind etc...
The weekend before we went to our ward Halloween party, which was very well done. We loved the games, trunk or treat and the free pony rides! The pony rides were the highlight of the party, the boys loved riding them. Jacob did not like the haunted maze, which we did not complete, due to he and I being scared. Jacob dressed up as Superman and Noah as "Linus" on Charlie Brown. I dressed up as Sarah Palin, most of our ward thought I was a Sister Missionary, either one is great! Jacob had the idea of me being Sarah, as I was doing my hair for that night. He exclaimed, while I was doing my hair, "Mom, you look like Sarah!" What a sweetheart! I wish we would have been more thoughtful about Tim's costum, as he could have been Joe Palin, complete with snow mobile outfit, but we were too busy with planning our boys outfits.
As I talked to my parents and Tim's mom, I concluded that Halloween is busier and more work than I remember as a kid, but it was all worth it seeing Halloween through eyes of two children once again.
P.S. Jacob and I had a great time make pumpkin bread and sugar cookies together.

Grandpa, My Friend

While we were on vacation this summer Jacob had time to spend with his friend. Thanks for the great memories Grandpa!

Preparing for Their Futures

So Jacob latest building projects has been service and church orientated. Jacob builds Sacrament trays out of Lego. He came up with this idea, completely on his own, "I just thought about it." Today he was teaching Noah, what a Deacon does and how to pass the trays, they are helping each other preparing for the future. Blink and we will be there...just seven years from now! So proud of my righteous husband and sons!

Balloon Fiesta!

Saturday, our family went to the International Balloon Fiesta. What an experience of a life time! We were all in a state of pure amazement, as we had never seen anything like it and never been around so many people. Tim stated with how many people we saw there would easily fit the population of Pocatello, Idaho. The news said tens of thousand were there for this unforgettable event.
We got there after the "Mass Ascension", perfect timing as not all the balloons can go up at the same time, impossible due to the number that finally go up, just 624 baloons! We were able to watch many balloons get ready to fly, plus we were standing to two balloons and touch them as they blew up. We got some neat pictures but they don't do this event judgest. The only way is to experience it for yourself, right Greatpa and Grandma (both have come and riden in a baloon themselves).
We saw some balloons that our family would like: Dad and my brothers: An eagle, Mom: A strawberry and Star Wars Fans: Darth Vader.

Book of Mormon Play Dough Style

This was Tim's idea for Family Home Evening a week ago and we had so much fun doing this activity. We each could make something out of play dough that was in the Book of Mormon. Jacob made an orange arrow and a white pencil to write on the Golden Plates. Noah made the sixteen, white stones in the story of the Brother of Jared (he wanted to taste them). Tim made a sword, sling, and an arrow. I made the Golden Plates and the Temple Bountiful (green). Now this week for FHE we are cleaning and organizing out the boys room, not as fun but needs to be done. Quess who's idea was this?...Daddy's too.

Surprise Me Again!

Tim loves to surprise me or lately he has been. We brought a van last Friday, as I surprise to me Tim has been researching for a while, finding out which van would be the best purchase for our needs. So Friday, after celebrating Jacob's birthday, he said, "Why don't we go and "look" at vans?" I have learned from this experience and others in our married live together, Tim doesn't "look" or "browse" for idems that he wants or needs. Tim goes and gets what he wants. Way to be sweetheart! I love you! FYI: I love driving it! It is a Dodge Caravan 2007, silver outside and dark gray inside.

Going To School- Pre School Style

Jacob goes to pre-school Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from eight to eleven thirty, every week for the whole school year. He started this past Monday, complete with homemade cupcakes and apple juice that we brought from home, to celebrate his 5th birthday. He loves school and making new friends!
P.S. Jacob picked out his outfit for his first day of school. Check out the shirt Grandma Wheelwright!

Jacob's 5th Birthday Party

Jacob asked to go to Chuck E. Cheeses for his birthday party. We went there last Friday afternoon. We had a fun and great time together as a family. Jacob was able to get a toy rocket afterword with our combined ticket winnings. On Sunday, we celebrated with a specially planned dinner (by Jacob) of homemade chicken nuggets and fries, green beans, tomatoes (from our garden) and his "car" cake, which was his idea and design. I got trick candles for his cake, we lost count on how many times we relit the candles on his cake. Jacob and Noah both wanted to keep blowing out the candles (a tradition from my Wheelwright family, relighting the candles on the cake so each child has a chance at blowing them out. Of course the birthday child got the first blow out!).

Tim's Lastest Work Of Art

While our boys and I were visiting family and friend, in Utah and Idaho for three weeks, Tim was busy here are home and work (understatement). We came home to three surprises, one he had cleaned all the carpets on our home! Two, he did a ton of yard work, so the outside looked as good as the inside. His third surprise was a desk he built, beautifully done and he gave it to me! Way to go sweetheart! I love you! I didn't know I needed a big desk so bad until I have one. It has been wonderful!

"Jacpob!"

Last month Noah started say Jacob name and now they love playing together. "Jacpob" is Noah's favorite word to call out when it is nap time and Noah still wants to play, instead of taking his nap. Here of some pictures that says it all, one of a single engine airplane with pilot and copilot aboard and the other "baby school" as Jacob calls it.
FYI: The outfit is Jacob's favorite, he picked it out himself and wears it everyday (except days of washing). "I am a soldier!" explains Jacob. Check it out Uncle Jared!

"I didn't learn anything!"

It is hard to believe, but yes, Jacob is starting preschool next Monday morning. We are bring cupcakes for his class too, to celebrate his fifth birthday. He is ready and very excited, so is his parents. Thanks to members of our ward, telling us about this wonderful preschool, through our local high school, Jacob is all set to go there.
Last Thursday night, our family went to the preschool open house. There we got to look around and see Jacob's classroom. Jacob stayed there while we (Tim, Noah and I) went to a parent's teacher meeting. When the meeting was over and we were driving home, Jacob informed us, "I didn't learn anything!"
