Third One To Go, Jacob's Updated Smile!

Jacob lost a tooth today at school, literally he lost it! He was playing in the playgound at recess time, he felt something in his mouth. He fished in his mouth and pulled out his tooth (he has been working on this loose tooth for weeks). Just as he pulled his tooth out of his mouth, a girl in his class bumped him. Oh no, the tooth went a flying in to the play ground bark! Jacob knew what he must do...look for it, of course. He bent down and there it was, he found his tooth, in the brown bark! A miracle! Mrs. Hassler(his amazing Kindergarten teacher) said that she has seen many teeth lost in that bark, which she recalls as "one of the trauma of Kindergarten!" Luckily this time, no trauma for Jacob...hopefully his luck won't change if he ever looses a tooth at school again. That was the highlight of our day! This tooth is the third tooth Jacob has lost. Jacob asked me when it was time to brush his teeth tonight, if he needed to brush his teeth, after all, he stating, "Mom, they are falling out anyway, if when I brush them?!" Truely stated I thought, even if he still need to brush them.

Christmas From Germany!

Yesterday, we found a surprise on our doorstep, a package from cousin Gavin! Gavin lives in Germany. We were all so surprised, Jacob and Noah had a ball ripping open the package and found inside two Christmas Advent Calendars, filled with Germany chocolate inside! Jacob had to race off to school after opening the package. Noah was upset that he couldn't open them right away and that he was told he'll have to wait until December (Christmas to him). After school we took these pictures! We will be packing the calendars to go with us to our new home! It will be part of our fun memories of this coming Christmas. Thanks so much Jared, Carey and Gavin!

Jacob's First School Field Trip

A week ago Tuesday, Noah and I joined Jacob's Kindergarten class, along with his teachers, Mrs. Hasseler and Mrs. Ballard for their first field trip. We drove out to the local pumpkin patch, just 35 minutes from town. Jacob got to ride the school bus with his class.
When we got there they loaded us all on a hay wagon and we went for a ride to pick our pumpkins. They drove us out to a HUGE field with I'm guessing about 500 to 1000 pumpkins. Jacob and Noah searched for the "perfect" one. We each got a pumpkin. After we returned from the hay ride we had a picnic lunch together. Then we went off exploring the different signs...such as a mountain made of hay bays, a sand dune with slides the go underground or thru the sand dune. Noah found a "live band" or so he thought, he sat there for at lest ten minutes (the only time he wasn't run or moving). We saw all sorts of farm animals too.
Everyone has a ball! I was continuely amazed how well Jacob's teachers handled all the children with their individual and at times demanding needs. I realized how they keep track of all the children, they count over and over and over again...all day long.

Our Wizard and His Rabbit

This year we had alot of help with coming up with our boys Halloween costumes. Grandma and Grandpa Wheelwright came up with the ideas. Grandma Wheelwright made Jacob's wizard costume and Grandpa Wheelwright made his wand. What goes better with a wizard than his diappearing rabbit. So Noah was a rabbit this year. It was a fun costume to make I have to say.
Last night was our annual ward Fall Festival and Halloween costume party. Our boys got to go trunk or treating too. We had alot of fun and really enjoyed see everyone who came. When we got home, Jacob said our Primary President said that "your costume is so cool!" Everyone that know my mom, knows what she can do with a sewing machine.

First Time Home Buyers!

We brought a house today!!! Yahoo!!! We are planning to paint and move the week of Thanksgiving. It is a four bedroom, two bathroom home with a big, nice backyard. Our next-door neighbor that neighbors our fence, is a L.D.S. Church that we will be going to every week. We are pretty sure that we will be walking to church every Sunday. Our boys are excited that they get to have a "park" (playset) and a sandbox in their backyard. If you want to see a tour of the house, email me and I will set you up. We will spending this Christmas in our house, what a present! As we take pictures painting, moving and setting up we will update this...for now wish us happy packing :)!

Bunk Bed Brothers

About two months ago, as a family we went out and priced bunk beds for Jacob and Noah. We came home with sticker shock and Tim decided to make them instead of buying them.
So over Conference week-end, Tim took an extra day off work (four day total) and constructed his plans. Tim thought up these plans, the materials he would need too. He made the ladder on a different Saturday. The ladder is moveable, able to hook on to any part of the bunk bed. He was able to get it all done in three days and we put it together last Monday night. Friday night we bought a bunk matress for Noah and let him pick out his sheets and comforter. Noah LOVES animals and we think it tries in well with the planets theme that Jacob picked too; planets and animals are both creations of God.
So far Noah has done pretty well with sleep in his big boy bed, only getting up once last night. He is excited to sleep like Jacob in a big bed. We have all bonked our heads on the beds now, except Tim (me twice now).
Yesterday was sent complete reorganizing the boy's room, finding a place for all of their toys, art, books, etc. The room is very open and clean now, what a nice feeling to have done.
Tim did a great job on the bunk beds as the pictures show, he has a real talent with working with wood. I should add that by making the bunk beds, Tim saved several hundred dollars too :0.
