Taking Time To Smell The Roses.

If our family camping trip wasn't enough fun we decided by visiting our local Botical Gardens here. It is the first time in our lives we had ever since real, live lilly pad with lilly flowers, they are so beautiful. Jacob and Noah loved walking thru the castle, filled with giant yard idems, vegetables, a maze and a dragon lair. We also went inside a butterfly garden, filled with all kinds, colors and shapes of butterflies. One orange butterfly took a fast liking to Tim, it landed on his hat as soon as he walked in and stay for a bit. The rose gardens were just breath-taking and the smell was heavenly. We spent about three hours there, we call it our "heavan in the city".
Noah's new words this week: Ok, cause and heck!
Jacob's new word: Accomadate

A Campin' We Will Go

We took our first camping trip since we move here. We found a National Forest an hour and a half away from our house. The drive reminded us of driving up the our Wheelwright cabin. There were tons of pine and quaken aspen tree. We were so delight to find a place that reminded us of the camping trips we took as kids (Tim and I). The weather was just beautiful and we had a wonderful time. Jacob and Noah loved the camp fire and making smores. The night was a bit rough as Noah wanted to play musicial beds, moving from one sleeping bed to the next and wanting a bottle.
But we had such a fun time that we plan to go back in two months before Jacob starts school. One our way home we stopped and took a tour of the local fish hatchery, which produces 1.7 million fish per year to be released back into the forest streams here. We also feed the trout while we were there. We drove by an old Baptist church, which had gravesites in the church lawn. Fun memories!

Pea Plants, Rocket, Breakfast and Zoo!

So while we were up visiting family for our vacation, Grandpa Wheelwright gave Jacob some pea seeds for our garden. Three days after we got home from Utah we planted our garden which includes: peas, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, yellow and red peppers, bush beans, lettuce, two herb plant and zucchine. All but the beans have come up, but they were planted last week, so they should be up this week. Jacob was such a great helper in planting the garden. Noah has been great to water and check on it everyday.
Jacob has been careful to save his money lately. Jacob saved up all his money lately brought a rocket with it. "Grandpa this rocket is what I saved my money for!"
This past Saturday we took the boys to our zoo. We love our zoo, see so many animal and this year we went to their Bird Show. I had to it seven year ago when Tim and I were down here for our honeymoon, it was much more fun with our little family.
On a normal day, I wake up to Noah calling "Dad!" (he calls daddy first every morning to see if he is here or at work) or "Mom!" at the top of his lungs. This is my alarm clock and I like it a whole lot better than the years I did wake up to my alarm clock. But yesterday, I woke up to Tim coming thru the door with BREAKFAST IN BED! Yes, cinnamon french toast, fresh orange, butter, whip cream, blueberries and milk. It was such a SURPRISE and oh so tasty! I don't think or remember having never had breakfast in bed while I have been on my own or married (I could be wrong). I remember my mom making me breakfast in bed during my growing up years. So I ate my delicous breakfast with my little Noah, we laugh and enjoyed the morning together. Thanks sweetheart for again making my day, week etc!

Jacob's Preschool~End Of The Year

Wow did this year go fast! Can't believe Jacob is going to Kindergarten this fall, then again he is turing six too! He'll be gone all day M-F for school, we are a bit nervous yet excited for him and all he will do and learn. Noah and I will walk him to and from school each day, we live too close to the school for Jacob to ride the school bus.
Jacob LOVED his preschool year! He enjoyed his teachers and his friends that he made while there. He has so much fun and learned a few things too. His teacher put together a scrapebook of all his projects and gave it to him the last day of school during the family school picnic. Jacob performed with his classmates and teachers in the high school gym during one of their assembles, wearing his school shirt. He did so good! Later that night, Jacob and his class performed all their songs on stage for all the preschool families and friends to see. Jacob remembered everything and performed perfectly. These events took place Thursday, April 30, 2009 the night before we left on vacation. We are so happy that Jacob had such a positive experience with preschool; he is ready to go on and learn more next year. " I can't wait to read!"
P.S. If we are still live here two years from now, Noah will be going there.

"I'm Gettin' Married In The Mornin'!"~ Saturday, May 9, 2009

It was such a sweet experience witnessing Tammy and Lorin's wedding! All went so smoothly, it was an unforgettable week with all the events that lead up to their big day! We all have experienced so many feelings and memories of Tammy, her incredible life and talents, it all came to a climax that day! We rejoiced!
Lorin and Tammy day was just perfect!
It was so fun to see my grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends that I have known for most of my life, some for all of my life. Some memories I will not forget is my grandfather (85 this year) casing my little Noah around my parent's kitchen. Seeing my mom as "Mother of the Bride"! My oldest brother Will dancing with his daughters, Ariana and Lexie. My Noah dancing with Lexie, or Jacob being upset about not being able to seeing Lorin and Tammy being sealed. Spending time with my grandparents was a highlight and dancing with my dad. Seeing my brother bless his first son, Myles and seeing both he and Lori as parents and going to the temple with Tammy.
We all went to church together, minus the newly weds of course, that next day, Mother's Day. Jon blessed Myles. The closing hymn was "Families can be together forever", this song is very close to me heart for many reasons, but I sat there while it was being sang and had overhelming joy wash all over me. This is what the Gospel of Jesus Christ is for, to bind families together forever, to experience joy and rejoicing here and now!
