Happy Sixth Birthday Jacob!

Jacob's birthday fell on Labor Day this year. Jacob was excited to have his birthday on a holiday and no school. We got together with three other families in our ward, which all have a boy Jacob's age and had a BBQ in the park, complete with lemon (Jacob favorite kind of cake) cakecups and green frosting (Jacob's favorite color). We had a wonderful time, even though Jacob got stung by a bee. Later, our friends, the Dickerson family came up and gave Jacob some army guys, candy and balloons. We all thought it was sweet of them to remember Jacob. Dickersons have be incredible and unforgettable neighbors and friends! We love them!
The next day Jacob took cupcakes to all his classmates at school and they sung Happy Birthday to him. Again he wanted lemon cake with green frosting.
Wednesday night was back to school night for Jacob. We took a tour around his classroom and got to see the work he has been doing since he started. His teacher, Mrs. Hassler, says she always has to find more work for him to do because he is such a fast worker. She is challenging him already and he is doing amazing work.
Saturday was a big day for Jacob. Jacob started soccer for the year. He did really well, enjoyed playing and like his coach. His team's name is "Lighting".
Saturday afternoon Jacob had his seven closest friends over for his "Soldier" birthday party. We played two games, one was a graid toss (water baloons), which got them all wet and pin the tank on the target. Then we sang Happy Birthday, cut the his "TANK" cake and ate cake and icecream. Can you guess what favor he wanted his cake to be? Lemon! (Jacob's grandpa Wheelwright loves lemon too). I was pleased how his "TANK" cake turned out myself, specially since I had no pattern, just an idea in my head. I had a blast putting it all together, three different color frosting, cookies and two types of candies. Later, Jacob opened his presents just before the kids went home. The kids at Jacob's party were Justice, Josh, Brinelle, Andrew, Enoch, Benjamin, and Noah. Jacob got some really cool and fun toys from his friends. Jacob has some really good and well-behaved friends, they were all so good and fun to be around. Jacob has been blessed to have wonderful friends ever since he was born. Jacob said he had a great day!
FYI: Tim took all the pictures of the birthday party and he was a great help to me. Love you, Honey!

Did you give them the color personality test? One of the pictures show names of kids on different colors... :) You're an over achiever deciding their personalities at the age of 5 and 6!
