Shower for our Baby

Last night my friend, Angel hosted a baby shower for Adam and me. Jacob and Noah were also invited and had a blast playing with all the children that came. It was so fun seeing most of my friends and being able to talk to them. Angel served an incredible dinner for us and the kids. She is a very good cook. Adam got some really cute toddler outfits and shoes, diapers and wipes. One of the girl made a wall hanging "I am a Child of God." I am excited to hang it in Adam's room. It was such a fun girls night out, we had it during the Priesthood session. Thank you so much girls for coming!
Earlier yesterday, we received a package from Tim 's mom with the quilt she made for Adam. It is so cute and beautifully done. It is blue with embroaded trains on it. We put it in his bassinet so he can use it when he get home. It will also be nice to wrap him up in and put in his crib when he starts sleeping there. Thanks Grandma Webb!

Come Fly With Me!

Well folks we made it to October, everyone clap or cheer, for one more month and Adam will be here!!
So last night I didn't sleep hardly at all, too excited for today events. Jacob's school hosting two hot air balloon lift offs this morning. We got up a 5:15 and got to Jacob's school but 6:30. The balloons took a while to be unloaded, so the boy's had a blast playin in the playgound before the is light, still dark. Jacob showed us where he runs laps everyday. Jacob ran one lap while we watched and timed him. He ran around the field in 1 minute 38 seconds. Jacob is a fast runner.
It took about 45 minutes to inflat both balloons and have lift off. Tradition is everyone claps when they lift off the ground. The boys were so interested in the whole process, except the fire. Noah doesn't like fire. The flame in full is taller then Tim. They were also happy to see two families in our ward there too. After lift off we went and had breakfast, stopping at a local donut shop which make incredible donuts, the best we have tasted, a very special treat. Then we went back to school and Jacob started his day. Now Dad and Noah are off to the zoo but Adam and I are staying home and resting. What a great way to start October, ok, so now can we have cooler weather please?!

Happy Autume!

I love the fall season, every year I love it! To me is it is the beginning of the holiday season, changing colors in nature and cooler weather! My favorite seasons are fall and spring, but I like the cold of winter too. This year I am happy to have fall here because it is the season Adam will make his arrival!
Noah and I did a little fall decorating in our home this morning. He loved putting up the window stickers. The picture of the window is the front living room window of our house. It looks out to our street. We will have these decorations up until Christmas.

Primary Temple Day

We went to our ward's Primary Temple Day this morning and learned all about the temple. Noah favorite part he said, "It was so pretty!" Jacob said, "I like all of it." I was grateful it was at nine in the morning so it wasn't hot yet. I also enjoyed seeing Jacob and Noah's excitment. Jacob found a stick bug too.
FYI: The first two pictures are of the boys touching the temple.

Happy 7th Birthday Jacob! His Golden Birthday

Yesterday we took the boys next door to the church parking lot. We were so surprise to witness Jacob's skills with riding his bike. He rode 20 laps in the parking lot! A new record. Noah made a new record with 6 laps on his tike. They loved it! We had a picnic/BBQ with our friends, we do this every Labor and Memorial Day at a park here. We brought cupcakes and sang Happy Birthday to Jacob. Later, for dinner we had Jacob's favorite meal-homemade chicken pot pie and opened presents. This morning we delivered green (Jacob's favorite color) frosted cupcackes to his classroom to celebrate. This had become one of our family traditions since we have had a school age kid, because he loves it.
Happy Golden Birthday Jacob! We love you and are so happy that you are part of our family. Love, Dad, Mom, Noah and Adam

"Mommy, Come Look At The TURTLE!!!"

A week ago, Saturday morning, the boys and I were busy cleaning the house, when I heard Noah scream, "Mommy, come look at the turtle!!!" What?! Sure enough in our front yard flower bed, under a laverdar brush, there was a turtle. Jacob and Noah played, feed it and had a ball all week-end with it. Sunday after church it got out of its' "box" in the backyard, so far we haven't seen it since then. But we have a turtle living or hiding in our backyard. I guess you could say this is our boys first pet, it is a great one, so independent!
We found out that turtles are a natural and normal animal that walk freely here. Many kids love catching them and making them into pets, that is if the turtle is willing. So far, we have a turtle but he come and goes as he chooses.
