Adam Is Two Months Old!

Just because I am the third child and third boy doesn't mean I should have less pictures taken of me than my older brothers, right?

What Time Will They Awake?

Christmas Eve I asked Tim when he thought the boys would wake up Christmas morning, he said he thought regular time. I thought perhaps 5:30 a.m. like they did last Easter morning...we were both wrong. After Tim reading the Christmas Story to the boys and letting them open their Christmas pjs and a few presents from Grandpa and Grandma Wheelwright, the boys went to sleep really easy.
We took the boys before they went to sleep that if they got up early they could open their stockings before sun rise. So what time did I hear Jacob talking to Noah in their room? 12:43 a.m.!!! I went into their room (now I wish I would have gotten a picture)there they were opening their stocking in front of their nightlight! I asked them to go back to bed and explained to them it was TOO early. After they went back to bed and I closed their door, I had a good laugh.
At two a.m. Jacob came in my room and asked, "How many more hours Mom?" I was feeding Adam at the time, but I didn't laugh this time. "Jacob, you have at least five more hours, now don't wake us up until there is sunshine in your bedroom window." So between Jacob and Adam getting up that night, it made for short or long night depending if you see it from the a child, a baby or a parent's prospective.
We had a wonderful Christmas, this year Santa's elves wrapped all the present so we had the kids get up, make their beds, eat our traditional "Christmas egg omelet with orange rolls" and cleaned up the kitchen before opening presents. Yes, we did Christmas morning just like my family did growing up, which I thought took forever when I was a kid.
I had to laugh hard when Noah wouldn't eat fast enough to Jacob's liking. Jacob sat and encouraged Noah over and over and over to PLEASE eat your food faster. I remember my brothers doing the same thing to me growing up, I was a very slow eater. Now it is funny...back then not so much!
Last night we finally got around to doing our first ever Navitity Scene with just our family. This is also a tradition I grew up with but we had it on Christmas Eve.
Adam was the baby Jesus, Noah and Jacob were Shepards and I was Mary. All the boys loved it and were really good. It was a fun activity especially having a real baby as Jesus.

Our Christmas Miracle

So last Saturday afternoon, Adam and I went to do the grocery shopping. Looking back I can see a number of things that led up to me forgetting my coat and wallet in the shopping cart at Walmart. My wallet in my coat! The coat was a Christmas gift two years ago from Tim. The wallet I got while shopping with my dear friend Megan, when Jacob was just a baby. So I loved both idems.
When I discovered they were missing I drove back to the store and looked everywhere and asked inside. No one had seen it. A lady stopped and talked to me, saying, "I'll pray for you!" I drove home in tears, just sick and upset at myself for doing such a thing. Tim was a great help and together we got everything cancelled that was in my wallet.
Yesterday was Noah's birthday so we made it a good day, not talking about it. About five o'clock Tim answered the phone. On the line was a lady that found my coat and wallet!!! She had gone shopping yesterday morning and brought it home (she said she brought it home because she didn't know if she could trust anyone else to get it to me). She had been trying all day to contact us. Tim drove over to her apartment and brought it home. We offered to pay her, she refused. Except for the cash been takin' from the wallet before she saw it, everything was in order. There it goes to show us that there are good, honest people everywhere in the world. Prayers are answered and miracles do happen.

Noah Is FOUR!

Noah and his family celebrated his fourth birthday yesterday. He wanted a "Batman" cake and he got one. Saturday was a fun day too, Jacob and he got to have breakfast with Santa in the morning followed by our Ward Christmas party that night, which was very well done.
We celebrated Noah birthday early with Grandpa and Grandma Wheelwright, that is when Noah got to open his presents. (We learned as parents the if you celebrate early, save a one or two presents for the child's birthday, it is much earier ;)).
Noah has almost grown up over night since his brother Adam has come. He was a good helper before Adam, but he is terrific now. He can dress himself, make his own bed, pick up his toys, set the table, help with the dishes and he love to help and play with Jacob and Adam. Noah loves music and has such a fun sense of humor, loves to make us laugh. He loves pretending his is a doctor and he helps us all when we get hurt. He is a delight! We are so blessed to have Noah in our home and are grateful for all he has done for us. We love you Noah!

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Webb Family Christmas Letter 2010

Greetings from the mildest winter season we have ever known, nothing like what Tim and I grew up knowing. We have become acclimatized to it and enjoy the cold but not freezing temperature, nor the snow we were use to digging out of. Perhaps our sons will never know what it is like to freeze at the bus stop or wear four layers of clothing to stay warm. But they do know about long, hot summers, bright sunny days, wearing tons of sunscreen, sun glasses and hats most if not all year around.
So what has happened this year…to start off Tim’s job became permanent of last February! Tim finished his Post-Doc positions at this time. This was incredible news for us and the answer of many prayers. We are so thankful for his job and pleased it is such a nice one, which allows me to keep my job as homemaker and full-time mother to our sons. With working around our house, keeping the yard looking amazing, playing with our boys and serving in Young Men’s, Tim keeps busy and productive.
March rounded around and we receive happy news that we were going to have another baby! June revealed that we are going to have our third boy! We decided to name him Adam James Webb. Adam’s middle name, James comes from both Tim and my side of our families, one of Tim’s grandfather and my brother, Brad. Adam was born on Tuesday, October 26 at 10:18 p.m. He was about two weeks early, which I welcomed. Adam is a happy baby whose favorite thing to do is cuddle.
We had a wonderful and busy summer. We grew and hatched butterflies, took swimming lessons, trips to the library, zoo, aquarium, gardens and many museums. We had a great time on our vacation visiting family and friends in Utah and Idaho for two weeks in August. The boy’s favorite part of the vacation was playing with their cousins at the Wheelwright cabin in Boise, Idaho. Jacob also loved celebrating his birthday there too.
Jacob turned seven this year. He started first grade, loves school and his has another great teacher. What a blessing. Jacob enjoy Primary and scripture stories too, Helaman and the 2000 Stripling Warriors, being his favorite story. Jacob’s favorite Primary song is “He sent His Son.” In his free time, Jacob still LOVES to build, build, and build with Legos and now K-Nex. He has a sound knowledge of Star Wars and loves to win every game he plays on the computer. Jacob’s favorite colors are red and green and animal is lizards. Jacob pulled out four teeth this summer (six total) so his mouth is going thru remodeling. He is a happy, healthy and fun boy to be around. He is a great helper to his parents and a loving and protective big brother. He loves playing with Noah and is really excited that Adam is now here.
Noah loves to joke, sing, run and play. He has an unforgettable sense of humor. He wants to go to school NOW. Noah is well prepared for school, he know his colors, numbers and shapes. He is learning this year how to spell and write his name and ABC’s. Noah loves to put puzzles together and read books with mom and rehearing Mother’s Goose Poems. He loves Star Wars, Geo Trax trains and Legos. Noah’s favorite story being David and Goliath and favorite Primary song is “I love to see the temple.” Noah’s favorite color is still orange and animal is zebra. Noah and I have really enjoyed this last year and a half together, having one-on-one time while Jacob has been in school. We have gone on many outing including the zoo, aquarium, biotical gardens and several different museums. Noah is looking forward to starting pre-school next fall.
With the birth of Adam, my parent came down and stayed with us for a month and two days to help. It was an unforgettable time we spent with them. They were life savers to our little family as we transition from a family of four to five. Angel came too, of course and we love her. Along with helping with our daily routine, they helped us get all ready for Christmas, decorate Adam’s room and Mom and I experienced “Black Friday” for the first time here…one word, CRAZY! We missed Logan that day.
On Sunday, November 28 we blessed Adam in our ward. It was a wonderful day with family and friends. Adam wore his white blessing tux, handmade by his Grandma Wheelwright. Adam has also enjoyed snuggling and keeping warm in his train quilt that his Grandma Webb made for him.
As for me, family life and being a mother of all boys kept me hopping. I enjoy my work and still think it is the most fulfilling work I have ever done. I love my sons and my husband and am blessed to have them in my life. I have been teaching Sunday school for the 12-13 year olds for the last year, but just received a new calling as assistant Compassionate Service Leader.
We hope this letter finds you all doing well and happy this season. We are grateful for the knowledge we have of Jesus Christ, the son of God, the reason we celebrate Christmas every year. Without Him and His perfect life and sacrifice, there would be no reason to celebrate and have joy during this time of year. But because He lived and lives we all are blessed because of Him. Merry Christmas and Happy 2011! Love you all, The Webb Family, Tim, Wendy, Jacob, Noah and Adam

Blessing Adam

We had an amazing, complete with Jacob learning to ride a bike without training wheels, celebrating Noah's 4th birthday (early so that Garandpa and Grandma could be here) and blessing Adam. I don't know if we can ever top this week-end, but I know we will always remember how special it was.

Update On Adam

Adam is a snuggle bug, he LOVES to be held by all of us. He doesn't know what to do if he is awake and not eating too. Jacob and Noah enjoy holding Adam everyday and kissing him. Jacob wants to take Adam to his school for his next "show and tell". Adam enjoys taking naps with Mom, Grandpa and Grandma.
We are planning on blessing Adam at our church, Sunday, November 28, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. Adam will be wearing his white blessing tux that his Grandma Wheelwright made just for him. Pictures will be blogged later.
