As Slow As Cold Tar Going Up A Hill

WOW! So I surprised myself when I looked tonight at my last blog. Really, I have gone almost two months without writing a thing. Oh, well. We are alive and keeping above water...or last time I checked we were. I doing good and managing the house the best I can these days.
Tim has had all the energy in the world. He has added on to our drip system in the front yard. Tim has the green thumb of this mother, as our backyard grass is the greenest things we see here. These last two days he has build a park size swing set for our backyard (the other one was breaking apart and unsafe). I am amazing all the hidden talents he has since we brought our house.:)
The boys are doing great. Jacob is doing terrific in school and counting down the days until summer break. Jacob has mastered swinging on the swing all by himself too. One night we were able to spot Mars in the sky too. He is really looking forward to our visit this summer to see all of our family, play with cousin and be at the cabin. Don't think we will have him play soccer next year, he is getting good at it but doesn't enjoy it.
Noah is a busy, fun and climbing boy. He has all his numbers up to 20 done, now we are moving on to ABC's if and when he is interested. He really loves swinging in the swing. He is good company to have around even when is he too independent that he could go on his mission now!
As for me, I had my first doctor's appointment on the first of April. I was tempted to call up all my family and tell them we were having twins. But I didn't. It was fun and relieving to see the heart beat. I worry alot that the baby is ok. I am very happy about our baby coming. I am looking forward to feeling better too in the future, thus the "as slow as cold tar going up a hill"...how I would describe how I feel now. But this too shall pass right?
That is all for now. Love you all!
FYI: The picture of Tim and our boys looking up at the night sky is them checking out MARS. That night, we learned that we could see MARS just by looking up at the night sky, it looked like a star but RED. We all thought that was super awesome!

Good-Bye Old Yeller!

It is with bitter, sweet, sorrow we say good-bye to our trust friend, our yellow sofa. I first met "yeller" when I started dating Tim eight year ago. It was a gift to Tim from his Aunt Tersea, when he moved away to go to ISU. One of our first dates I remember was watching October conference, with Tim's roommates, their dates and sitting on yeller. Sweet memories...ok I am done... Oh, we found a family that will take care and needs yeller.
Today was a very exciting day at our home as our furniture we ordered 8 weeks ago finally was delivery! Noah loved going from each piece, checking them all out. The two chairs in the living room are both recliners. The brown sofa in the family room is a sleeper sofa.

Congratulations!

This week we found out that Carey (Tim's sister) is expecting a baby! This will be Jared and Carey's second baby, they have a little boy, Gavin. The baby is due around the first of October. We are all thrilled about this great news and are excited to see if we are having a neice or nephew and if Gavin is right?

"We Got It!"

"We got it!" read Tim's forwarded email, this morning in my inbox. Many may know this, but some may not, but Tim's position at his work was temporary when we moved down here two years ago. His job was temporary, for that matter, until today. Tim received an email from his boss that Tim has been given a permanent position on staff at his work! Looks like we will be living here for a long time.
We appreciate all our family and friends for their prayers, love, support and visits while we have lived here. Most of all we are grateful, to our Heavenly Father who know us, our situation and who hears and answers our prayers. We know He does this for all of His children.
P.S. I tried to explain this terrific news to Noah, he just looked at me and asked, "Daddy, get a toy?"

"Each Life That Touches Ours For Good"-LDS Hymn

This morning just after five o'clock I woke up (on my own accord, not because of children), realizing that I have really turn 32! 32...sigh...wow...ok time to go back to sleep. Really have I lived this long...yes I have. Today I thought of the two proudest accomplishments I have received in my life...ONE marrying Tim and TWO...have my boys. Of all the blessings, I have in my life and I am richly blessed, my family is my crown and glory! Yes, it is my live's work but I love it (minus some stressful moments), but I feel priviledged to be alive to experience it all :).
My friend Angel, her husband Tom and kids took my boys and I out to lunch for my birthday. Had it not been for this family...we would have never made it thru the transition of moving and living here. They are a truly amazing family and we love them very much.
My dear friend Kathy (from high school) SURPRISED me with a vase of 26 roses. She has been a dear friend of mine. I will never forget her MANY kindnesses she has shown me throughtout the years of our friendship.
I have had a wonderful birthday and I thank each person in my life for making it so. I am so grateful to my parents for all they did to raise me the way that they did and for my brothers and sisters for their love, examples and support. I am grateful for Tim's family, his mother who I am best friends with, for his dad, his love and kindness towards me and for his brothers and sisters, who we enjoy playing games and sports together when we visit. To all my family and friends: thank you for touching my life for good.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Tim's 33nd Birthday was Sunday and we celebrated in style! Tim and I went went on a date on Friday night to dinner and to the temple. Sunday we had a yummy dinner, singing Happy Birthday, cake and opening presents. It was a nice relaxing, family day. We love you Daddy! Happy Birthday! Oh, one more thing to make note of...Noah made Daddy's cake this year!

Out With The Old, In With The New!

The summer of 2002, just before we got married, Tim brought a vacuum for us. We have used this vacuum for almost eight years and it was on it's last wheel. So we upgraded...
